Once you have made the decision to build a custom home, the next step is assembling your team: Builder, Architect, Interior Designer, and Landscape Designer (a.k.a. “BAD"). Doing so from the beginning will deliver a more streamlined process while also saving energy, time and budget. Skip the broken/adversarial process of having drawings/specs created and thereafter “bidding” to three potential builders. After all, one does not build a home on a weak foundation, so why start that way with the team. Building a team from inception that has your best interests at heart should be the solid foundation of your next new home.
